mountain maid purple yam jam

you may have noticed that our household loves ube. if it’s not puto bumbong or kalamay, you have ube ice cream (the kids’ favorite) around. imagine my delight (and the kids’ too) when we found out somebody gave us “mountain maid” ube jam from baguio 🙂 this is the best brand around (from the good shepherd sisters) and it sure tastes like it too. of course, instead of being properly spread on bread like a real jam, we just ate it straight from the jar 🙂

HA HA HA, i was just asking my dad if he thinks his sister (my aunt) will remember to bring ube jam from baguio 😀 i don't think i've ever seen this “jam” with bread, though … too much carbs, 😛 i think we pair this with ice cream (magnolia macapuno) or eat it straight from the jar (someone on FB said they use their fingers instead of a spoon — i agree that's the best way to eat it).

hey, that macapuno ice cream combination sounds good. too bad there's none left of the ube 😦 maybe next time. maybe i'll pair it with magnolia ube ice cream too. ha.ha. overload 🙂

yeah, “limid” was her term. and i do agree with the finger thing completely 🙂
