a trifling attempt at trifle

i found some pretty good strawberries in the grocery, some lakatan banana in our kitchen and the perpetual supply of lady fingers in the ref (he.he.), so i decided to try my hand at a version of english trifle. i skipped the gelatin part, which i replaced with more cream. πŸ˜›

eschewing tradition and proper presentation (on account of beng lazy, he.he.) i put it in a plastic tub instead of a glass bowl, so i had a transparent (instead of a transluscent) container. this made it easier to chill it in the ref and store the leftover afterwards (if there’s any, which i doubt) πŸ˜€ it’s still chilling so i’ll update you later if it was any good or not (my bet is it’s gonna rock). πŸ˜›

    That kinda looks more like a fruit salad to me than trifle, LOL!

    he.he. i actually made two versions: a simple fruit salad and then one with bread. guess what, i liked the fruit salad better. ha.ha. truth to tell, it was a terrible (wannabe)trifle.
