mango creme brulee

had a delicious dinner with a friend last week at duo in serendra. she arrived famished so we forgot to take photos of what we had ordered. 🙂 the “tessie tomas” salad on their menu was really delicious, with prawns, mushrooms, smoked salmon, and greens. (we forgot to ask the waiter the story behind the eponymous dish). the pasta and tenderloin were just okay.

thankfully, we remembered to take a photo of the dessert (actually, i had begun to slice it. he.he.). it’s mango creme brulee. guess which side is the custard and which side is the mango.

so… they made custard with mango and stuffed it back into the mango peel, then torch it? or did they torch a sliced mango? either way, it looks good.
Btw, one of your posts had you having breakfast at Sta.Rita. I'm from there. Is it duman season already? And panara, i have not had one in ages. i hope you review those in future food adventures. thanks again

yup, it's the first one, they made the custard and stuffed in back to one side of the mango. the othe side had real fruit. both were torched. pretty clever 🙂
