lagat kamias

remember my entry on lagat mangga before that had a lot of our readers salivating and cursing me on facebook? ha.ha.

well, here’s the lagat kamias (bilimbi fruit and/or pickle fruit according to internet searches) version. still as tart, and still as delicious. this was store-brought though (at cely’s carinderia in san fernando, and they make a really mean version of this dish) 🙂

    this sounds really good and i looooove the kamias fruit (used to devour them in bunches, with a rock salt dip). but i think i made prefer the lagat mangga (which my mom made, BTW, after i told her about your post).

    so how did you like the lagat mangga? did your mom find manibalang mangoes (and were they mexican)?
