filipino mung bean soup and american southern style stew

guess which is which. one has mung beans, shrimps, pork rinds and moringa leaves (giveaway!), the other has lentils, sliced sausages and okra, cooked in a cajun gumbo mix. both protein rich (people with gout, stay away). both perfect on a cold, rainy day.

    dude, too easy! mung bean soup at the bottom. i wasn't a big fan of this soup when i was growing up. i used to fish out the pork rinds and only eat those 😛

    ha.ha. this was one of the few vegetable dishes i liked as a child. the rest were pure, unadulterated torture!
