Noodles for breakfast

Found myself in Chinatown early one morning for a haircut. As the salon was still closed and I was hungry, I made my way to one of the noodle shops I knew was open at that ungodly hour (9:30). From the rather sparse menu I found this: satay beef in instant noodle soup. Tasty, hot and filling. And to honor my Chinese heritage — and because the noodles kept sliding from the big spoon — I used the chopsticks provided 😉

I'm a big-breakfast person (obvioiusly, big-lunch and big dinner too, he.he.) but i'm not a fan of noodles for breakfast. I WANT RICE 🙂 but this looks hearty and filling. Gotta laugh that for you, 9.30am is an ungodly hour. ha.ha. Tanghali na yun dito 😛

oh, there was rice available — as congee. i take it you don't mean that 😛 i preferred the noodles. and 9:30 was really early for me to be in chinatown. none of my usual shops/restos were even open!
