from bed to day bed to all-time bed

the day bed in our lanai was nice and “fresco” because of its natural “sulihiya” (woven reed) finish. the problem was it left pattern marks on the body and limbs every time someone laid on it (yeah, yeah, not the bed’s fault).

so i requested my bro-in-law (who’s a furniture maker and upholsterer) to make a cushion for it. we covered it in some synthetic leather instead of cloth because it is exposed to the elements (and you know how wet the rainy season here can get). we threw in some old throw pillows (har!har!) for accent and actual use.
