You know I hate wasting food especially since I know a lot of people are starving even as I type this. I cooked pancit bihon for dinner one day and was tired of it the following day and craved soup at the same time. So I turned it into a noodle soup dish by just adding water and milk.
The Filipino “sopas” usually has boiled macaroni and milk plus your vegetables and proteins of choice, including hotdogs(!) so basically it’s the same except that the carbo here was rice noodles instead of pasta. I was worried it would taste of soy sauce (which isn’t usually found in sopas) but it’s good that the flavor wasn’t there at all. If it did, it would just have turned into a Japanese ramen then!
