Lunch today was at Shangri La’s High Street Cafe in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City (yup, that is correct, a city within a city within a metropolitan city… which is Metro Manila). I was pleasantly surprised that the cost of a weekday lunch here is far less than those of the Makati City hotels. It had 9 stations (Japanese, Chinese, Roasts, Med, Salad, Seafood, Continental, Asian/Indian, Dessert… I forget…) so I tried them all. The Macau lechon (roasted pig) roll was really good. The laksa (Malaysian fish/prawn noodle dish with coconut milk broth) was okayish. The pastries (especially the blueberry and strawberry tarts) were big time delicious.
