Bagoong rice


We had leftover pork adobo somewhere and I found a mango lying in our backyard and our chili plants had lots of fruits so I thought why not make Thai bagoong rice?

  • 1 cup shredded pork
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1 tbs crushed garlic
  • 6 cups rice
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbs bagoong (shrimp paste)
  • red chilis
  • green mango

Sauté garlic, onions, shrimp paste and pork in oil. Add rice and stir. Add egg and stir. Top with sliced chilis and mango slivers.


I paired this with barbecued pork. Yum!
