New broom definitely sweeps clean

I took great pleasure sweeping earlier today. That’s because I have a new broom, a walis tambo (or whisk broom, according to Amazon.com), courtesy of my parents. My other broom had been slowly disintegrating over the last several weeks.

I love these Philippine-made brooms. I have hardwood floors and the brooms are perfect. I guess I could get something like a Swiffer sweeper, but the floor just doesn’t feel as clean to me afterwards. Also, it can get pretty expensive replacing those pads. Our walis tambo is more environment friendly.

i'll give you a tip. do you see the the broom has uneven edges? get a pair of scissors and clip them until it's a clean half-elliptical shape. you clean much better, and for some reason, the tambo stays longer on the broom (does not easily fall off piece by piece).

Yup, my mom told me the same thing. Actually, my dad wanted to do it before I left 🙂
